After completing the MT2 course and successfully passing the MT2 inspector examination administered by the Swiss Society for Non-Destructive Testing (SDS), we can inspect your chains using our new mobile chain testing device in accordance with BR 500, section 3.15.2.

    The employer must ensure that load-bearing equipment is inspected by a qualified expert at intervals of no more than one year.

    1. Depending on the operating conditions of the load-bearing equipment, inspections may be required at shorter intervals than one year. This applies, for example, to particularly frequent use, increased wear, corrosion, exposure to heat, or if increased susceptibility to malfunctions is anticipated.
  3. 3.15.2.2
    The employer must ensure that round steel chains used as lifting gear are subjected to a special inspection for cracks at intervals of no more than three years.

    1. The inspection can be carried out, for example, using a non-destructive testing method.
